prima di andare via ho preparato circa 4 kg di taralle e una torta al cioccolatto e caffè per i miei colleghi di ufficio (una cinquantina ma volendo era aperto a chiunque)...hanno mangiato dolci anche per i giorni successivi alla mia partenza. Ho anche acquistato delle torte pds locali alla frutta...veramente molto buone!Gli Olandesi si sanno dare da fare! 8-O

Premetto che ho avuto la fortuna di abitare con una famiglia olandese, particolarmente amante dell'Italia e della cucina italiana. Ma anche esperti in cucina...per cui vi lascio immaginare cosa accadeva ogni sabato in cucina... :smile:
E io non sono stato con le mani in mano anzi... mi sono dato alla pazza gioia. Tra l'altro in Olanda è possibile reperire tutto o quasi il necessario per fare dei buoni piatti italiani. Innanzitutto mi sono cimentato in una bella caponata di melanzane. Certo, le melanzane erano quelle coltivate in serra, nulla a che fare con le nostre baciate dal sole estivo ma ci siamo accontentati....gli olandesi hanno risposto con salmone affumicato al barbecue con trucioli di melo....divino :roll:. Sette mesi in Olanda sono stati tanti, quanto basta per preparare altri piatti. Particolarmente apprezzato un piatto tipico siciliano: spaghetti all'anciova (sia bianca che rossa). Mi sono cimentato anche sui dolci sia siciliani (le taralle) che italiani in genere come lo strudel di mele e le kraphen. Un dolce molto richiesto è stata la torta al cioccolatto e caffè che ho fatto molte volte. In quei sette mesi si sono succeduti una serie di compleanni quindi via libera al babà e al pds con crema chantilly e frutti di bosco...veramente buoni. Alla fine del mio periodo di soggiorno ho preparato le arancine al ragù. Ne ho fatte una trentina, tutte da solo ed era la prima volta...non mi sono perso d'animo. mi sono organizzato per bene: ragù fatto la sera precedente, il riso preparato la mattina e poi appallotolamento e frittura ad una ad una. Le prime erano un pò troppo grandi, poi via via ho preso la mano e le ho fatte più piccole. :smile:
